Strut Assembly: Inspection

Check upper strut mount assembly for cracked or deteriorated rubber. See Figure . Rotate upper support bearing by hand to check for smooth operation. Check spring for damage. Check for cracked or deteriorated dust shield. Extend and retract strut shaft to check for smooth operation and even resistance. Replace components as necessary.
