Removal And Installation General Service Information: Console: Removal
- Disable SIR system. For 2000 models, see DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM
. For 2001 models, see DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM
. For 2002 models, see DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM

- Apply parking brake lever.
- Remove window mirror switch (if equipped).
- Exert pressure on rear of window mirror switch with hand.
- Pry up with blunt tool at rear retainer assembly tabs.

- Lift window mirror switch up and out.
- Disconnect electrical connector by locating retention tabs and disengaging connectors.

- Adjust front seats to most forward position.
- Remove rear console screws.

- Adjust front seats to most rearward position.
- Remove left and right lower trim panel extensions by pulling outward at dual lock locations.
- Rotate panels outward to disengage hinges from console.

- Remove front console screws.
- Move console rearward.
- Disengage retaining tabs and disconnect power outlet connector.

- Maneuver console beyond gear selector and parking brake by lifting rear of console.
- Remove console from vehicle.
