Test C: Traction Control Switch Indicator Led Does Not Turn Off

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect traction control switch. Check resistance between ground and traction control switch harness connector terminal "F" (Black wire). If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is not less than one ohm, check for open or short to voltage in circuit.
  2. Disconnect EBCM harness connector. Check continuity between traction control switch harness connector terminal "D" (Purple/White wire) and EBTCM. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in circuit.
  3. Check continuity between traction control switch terminals "D" (Purple/White wire) and "F" Black wire). Switch should be open. Press and hold switch button. If continuity does not exist, replace switch. If continuity exists, check for terminal tightness. Repair as necessary. If terminals are okay, replace EBTCM.
