PANIC Button
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
When transmitter PANIC button is pressed once, transmitter sends an identification code to remote control door lock receiver to activate panic mode. The receiver sends a signal to Body Control Module (BCM) on the serial data line. The Body Control Module (BCM) activates horn relay or flashes lights (depending on selected options) for 90 seconds, or until PANIC button is pressed again.
