Ignition Switch Test

Vehicles are equipped with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system. Disconnect ignition switch connectors. Check for continuity between specified terminals at appropriate ignition switch positions. On "L" series, see IGNITION SWITCH CONTINUITY ("L" SERIES) table. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . On "S" series, see IGNITION SWITCH CONTINUITY ("S" SERIES) table. See Fig 3 . On all models, if continuity does not exist between specified terminals, replace ignition switch.
