DTC B1328: Device Power No. 1 Circuit High
- Set parking brake. Start engine. Using scan tool, select BCM DATA DISPLAY and monitor BATTERY VOLTAGE. If scan tool displays 18.5 volts or more, go to next step. If scan tool displays less than 18.5 volts, problem is intermittent. Check for poor connection to Body Control Module (BCM). Check for intermittent problem in charging system. See appropriate GENERATORS & REGULATORS article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS. Repair as necessary and retest operation.
- Connect DVOM between ground and Light Blue 24-pin BCM connector terminal A11 (Orange wire). See Figure. If 18.5 volts or more exists, go to step 4. If less than 18.5 volts exists, check for open or short to voltage in Black wire between Light Blue 24-pin BCM connector terminal B11 and ground. See GROUND DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. Repair as necessary and retest operation. If Black wire checks okay, go to next step.
- Check for poor connection to BCM. Repair as necessary and retest operation. If BCM connection checks okay, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest operation.
- Check charging system for excessive output. See appropriate GENERATORS & REGULATORS article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS. Repair as necessary and retest operation.
