Test B: Traction Control Switch Indicator Led Does Not Turn On
- Turn ignition on. Check voltage at traction control switch terminal "B" (Brown wire) circuit to instrument panel fuse block. If voltage is present, go to next step. If voltage is not present, check for open in fuse or circuit. Repair as necessary.
- Turn ignition off. Check resistance between ground and traction control switch terminal "F" (Black wire) circuit. If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is not less than one ohm, repair open in circuit.
- Disconnect ABS control module harness connector. Disconnect ground terminal No. 22 from connector. Turn ignition on. If switch indicator LED does not illuminate, go to next step. If switch indicator LED illuminates, check for terminal tightness. Repair as necessary. If terminals are okay, check for PCM or ABS related DTCs. Repair as necessary. If no DTCs are set, replace EBTCM.
- Turn ignition off. Check continuity between traction control switch harness connector terminal "D" (Purple/White wire) and EBTCM. If continuity exists, replace switch. If continuity does not exist, repair open in circuit.
