Shifter Control Assembly (On-Vehicle): Installation
- Connect cables to shifter control assembly. When installing shifter cable, use a pair of channel lock pliers to snap cable end socket into ball.NOTE: Use care when handling shifter control assembly while installing cables. The push rods can be bent, which will affect shifting.
- Install shifter control assembly retaining nuts.
Torque Shifter Control Assembly-to-Floor Pan Nuts: 25 N.m (18 ft-lbs)
IMPORTANT: Install cable retainer plate with arrow pointing toward front of vehicle.
- Install cable retainer plate and install bolt.
Torque Shift Cable Retainer-to-Floor Pan Bolt: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)
- Install cable guide.
- Ensure that cables are not kinked and that shifter operates properly.
- Install wiring harness clip to shifter control assembly.
- Install control lever boot assembly. Refer to CONTROL LEVER BOOT ASSEMBLY (ON-VEHICLE) .
