Output Shaft Disassembly

  1. Use press to disassemble output shaft assembly. Place support under 1st driven gear.

    IMPORTANT:  Synchronizer hub and sleeves must be kept together as a matched set. Note spline alignment marks on hub and sleeve (indicated by the arrows). If alignment marks are not visible, put new marks on hub and sleeve before they are separated.

  2. Remove output shaft ball bearing.
  3. Remove 3rd/4th driven gear.
  4. Remove 2nd driven gear.
  5. Remove 2nd driven gear bearing.
  6. Remove 2nd driven gear bearing race.
  7. Remove 2nd driven gear blocker ring, blocker ring spring, and 1st/2nd synchronizer sleeve.

  8. Remove 1st/2nd synchronizer hub.
  9. Remove 1st gear blocker ring and spring.
  10. Remove 1st driven gear.
  11. Remove 1st driven gear bearing.
  12. Remove 1st driven gear thrust washer.
