DTC P1441: EVAP System Flow During Non-Purge: Description
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system consists of EVAP canister, fuel tank pressure sensor, EVAP lines and hoses, EVAP purge solenoid (normally closed), EVAP service port, EVAP vent solenoid (normally open) and fuel tank. ECM monitors EVAP system for circuit faults in fuel tank pressure sensor, EVAP purge solenoid and EVAP vent solenoid circuits. ECM also monitors EVAP system for small and large leaks. During one part of EVAP diagnostic system test, ECM will close both EVAP purge solenoid and EVAP vent solenoid. DTC 1441 sets when fuel tank pressure sensor indicates pressure is lower than atmospheric pressure (vacuum) indicating EVAP purge solenoid is stuck open.
