Power Window System: Operation

When ignition switch is in RUN position, power for window system is supplied to master switch assembly through window relay. When any switch on master switch assembly is operated, power is applied through related window switch to motor, driving window motor to either raise or lower window.

On 4-door models, master switch assembly has a rear window lock out switch which disables rear window switches. Rear window switches on master switch assembly operate normally regardless of lock out switch position.
