Fuel Pressure Regulator: Installation

NOTE: O-rings must be oiled, with clean engine oil and installed into the fuel rail before fuel pressure regulator is installed.
  1. Install small oiled O-ring into fuel rail.
  2. Install large oiled O-ring into fuel rail.
  3. Install fuel pressure regulator into fuel rail. See Figure .
  4. Install retaining bolts. Tighten fuel pressure regulator bolts to 5 N.m (44 in-lbs).
  5. Connect vacuum line.
  6. Energize fuel system.
  7. Run vehicle and inspect for leaks.
