Powertrain Control Module: Removal

  1. PCM is located on right front strut tower, behind battery. See Figure. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect PCM harness connector J2 (28-pin) by moving the locking device towards fender.
  2. Remove bolt to PCM harness connector J1 (80-pin). Disconnect PCM harness connector J1. Remove PCM mounting bolts. Remove PCM from mounting bracket.
