Diagnostic Aids

Vehicles are equipped with an internal air pump thermal switch. Switch may open as long as 5 minutes if air pump becomes too hot. Wait at least 5 minutes with ignition off before running AIR PUMP SERVICE BAY TEST.

Use scan tool to perform AIR PUMP SERVICE BAY TEST to verify if a problem exists. This test will turn on air pump for 30 seconds and forces DTC P0410 diagnostic test to run.

Air pump resistance should be 0.5-19.0 ohms.
