Installation Procedure

  1. Position the heat shield to the frame.
    2. Fig 1: Installing Steering Gear-To-Frame Bolts & Nuts

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTIC in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the steering gear heat shield to frame bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  3. Lower the vehicle.
