Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTIC in Cautions and Notices.

Install the control assembly into the vehicle and install the control assembly-to-floor pan bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the control assembly-to-floor pan bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

Connect the control assembly electrical connectors.

Connect the control cable to the pin on the control assembly.
Secure the control cable into the control assembly by pushing into place.
Install the control cable retaining clip.

Install the console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
