Removal Procedure

Tools Required: 

J 39194-C  Oxygen Sensor Wrench

  1. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement (LSJ) or Exhaust Manifold Replacement (L61) in Engine Exhaust.
  2. Fig 1: Removing & Installing Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield

  3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor harness connector.
  4. Remove the oxygen sensor using J 39194-C  .
