Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Removing/Installing Air Cleaner Assembly

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.0L (L81).

  2. Remove the pulley from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement .

  3. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
  4. Disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.

  5. Remove the power steering pump to bracket bolts.
  6. Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle.

  7. Using the SA9162C-2  , remove the power steering pulley hub from the power steering pump. See Special Tools .
