Installation Procedure

  1. Install the crankshaft sensor and harness.

    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the timing belt guide (703).

    Tighten:  Tighten the timing belt fasteners to 10 N.m (88 lb. in.).

  3. Install the front cover. Refer to Timing Belt Cover Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.5L.
  4. Perform the idle learn procedure. Refer to Idle Learn Procedure  in Engine Controls - 3.5L (L66).
