Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Fuel Tank Fill Hose & Clamp

  1. Install the fuel fill pipe assembly.
  2. Install the fuel fill hose to the fuel tank (4).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Tighten the fuel fill hose clamp (5) at the fuel tank.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  4. Connect the fuel fill pipe vapor recirculation pipe (2) quick connect fitting to the fuel tank vapor recirculation hose (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Install the fuel fill pipe bracket bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the fuel fill pipe shield.
  7. Install the fuel fill pipe shield retainers.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  9. Install the fuel fill pipe to fuel fill pocket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  10. Refill the fuel tank.
  11. Install the fuel fill cap.
  12. Inspect for fuel leaks.
