Rear Body Fuse Block Programming and Setup

Rear Electrical Center (REC) Programming and Setup 

NOTE: The Saturn Astra requires the use of a separate Tech 2 software version for diagnostics and Service Programming (SPS). This version contains only support for the Astra. The North American Tech 2 software version does not contain support for the Astra.
NOTE: A security code is required for programming this module. The security code must be obtained prior to programming. The security code is found in GM Dealer World under the parts tab and Key Code Look Up. For Canada the security code is in the GM Parts Location and Information Services application.
NOTE: In order to perform programming you may be asked to "Get Security Access". The Security Access procedure can be found on TIS2Web under the Help Function.

When the rear body fuse block is replaced, the following procedures must be performed:

NOTE: The first step in replacing any module is the RESET process. The Tech 2 does not require security access to reset any module.
NOTE: Anytime battery power is lost or the REC is replaced, the Express down feature of the power windows must be relearned. Refer to POWER WINDOW REINITIALIZATION
  1. With a scan tool, perform the Reset ECU function before removing the rear fuse block.
  2. Replace the rear fuse block.
  3. With a scan tool, perform the Program ECU function and follow the screen prompts.
