Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (2.4L LE5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill-LNF) .
  2. Remove the heat shield from the around the electrical connector, if necessary.
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

  4. Remove the ECT.
