Vehicle Lift And Support Locations
- NOTICE ABOUT VEHICLE CONDITION WHEN JACKING UP THE VEHICLE
- The vehicle must be unloaded before jacking up the vehicle. Never jack up / lift up a vehicle loaded with heavy things.
- When removing heavy equipment such as the engine and transmission, the center of gravity of the vehicle may shift. To stabilize the vehicle: Place a balance weight in a location where it will not roll or shift; or use a mission jack to hold the jacking support.
- NOTICE FOR USING 4 POST LIFT
- Follow the safety procedures outlined in its instruction service information.
- Use precautionary measures to prevent the free wheel beam from damaging tires or wheels.
- Using a wheel stopper, fix the vehicle.
- NOTICE FOR USING JACK AND SAFETY STAND
- Work in the flat place using a wheel stopper at all times.
- Use a safety stand with a rubber attachment, as shown in the illustration.
- Apply the jack and rigid rack to the specified location on the vehicle.
- When jacking up the front wheels, release the parking brake and place wheel stoppers only behind the rear wheels. When jacking up the rear wheels, place wheel stoppers only in front of the front wheels.
- The jack should not be used without the rigid rack.
- When jacking up only the front wheels or only the rear wheels, place wheel stoppers on both sides of the wheels touching the ground.
- When jacking down the vehicle with its front wheels jacked up, release the parking brake and place wheel stoppers only in front of the rear wheels. When jacking down a vehicle with its rear wheels jacked up, place wheel stoppers only behind the front wheels.

- NOTICE FOR USING SWING ARM TYPE LIFT
- Follow safety procedures outlined in its instruction service information.
- Use cradle with a rubber attachment, as shown in the illustration.
- When using the lift, its center should be as close to the vehicle's center of gravity as possible.
- Set the vehicle on the cradle as level as possible. Then match the groove of the cradle to the rigid rack support location. Do not raise the vehicle too high because the vehicle may become unstable.
- Be sure to lock the swing arm during the operation.
- Lift the vehicle up off the ground, and shake it to make sure that it is stable.
- NOTICE FOR USING PLATE TYPE LIFT
- Follow safety procedures outlined in its instruction service information.
- Use a plate lift attachments.
- Refer to the table below to determine how to properly set the vehicle.DETERMINE HOW TO PROPERLY
Right and left set position - Place the vehicle over the center of the lift.
Front and rear set position - Align the cushion gum ends of the plate with the attachment lower ends (A and C).
- Align the attachment upper end (B) with the rocker flange front side notch.
- Lift the vehicle up off the ground, and shake it to make sure that it is stable.
