Seat Belt Warning System: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH 
    1. Check the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (Buckle switch is ON).
      2. Check the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        STANDARD

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-3 1,330 Ω
      3. Release the seat belt (Buckle switch is OFF).
      4. Check the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        STANDARD

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-3 330 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assy.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. Check the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (Buckle switch is ON).
      2. Check the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        STANDARD

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-3 Below 1Ω
      3. Release the seat belt (Buckle switch is OFF).
      4. Check the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        STANDARD

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-3 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assy.

    2. Check the circuit for the airbag seat position sensor.
      1. Check the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        STANDARD

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        1 - 2 (Connector for airbag seat position sensor) Below 1Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assy.
