Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK AUTO UP/DOWN FUNCTION (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Check that the power window AUTO UP/DOWN function operates normally.

    NG: Go to step 2 

    OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) 

  2. INSPECT FUSE (FR DOOR) 
    1. Remove the FR DOOR fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.
      1. Standard: Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P11 regulator switch connector.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard: 

      POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) TERMINAL RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P11-12 (B) - Body ground 10 to 14 V
      P11-7 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  4. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH SIGNAL) 
    1. Remove the regulator switch but do not disconnect the connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Measure the voltage of the connector.

      Standard: 

      POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) TERMINAL VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Window Lock Switch Condition Specified Condition
      P11-11 (PCT) - P11-7 (GND) OFF (Normal) 10 to 14 V
      P11-11 (PCT) - P11-7 (GND) ON (Lock) Below 1 V

    NG: Go to step 5 

    OK: Go to step   6 

  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY) 
    1. Disconnect the P11 regulator switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P9 master switch connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
      POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY TERMINAL RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P11-11 (PCT) - P9-6 (PCT) Below 1 Ω
      P11-11 (PTC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 

  6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the P12 regulator switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P11 power window motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH TERMINAL RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P12-1 (D) - P11-1 (D) Below 1 Ω
      P12-6 (U) - P11-2 (U) Below 1 Ω
      P12-1 (D) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      P12-6 (U) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  7. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Remove the regulator switch but do not disconnect the connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Measure the voltage of the connector.

      Standard: 

      POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) TERMINAL VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      P12-6 (U) - P12-7 (GND) UP 10 to 14 V
      P12-1 (D) - P12-7 (GND) DOWN 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) 

    OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH (PASSENGER SIDE)
