Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Check that the power window manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

    NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See  MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE ON PASSENGER SIDE ONLY   ) 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK LAMP OF POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Operate the power window regulator switch.
    3. Check the blinking pattern of the lamp as shown in Fig 2 .
      1. If pattern (1) or (3) is displayed, proceed to A.
      2. If pattern (2) is displayed, proceed to B.
      3. If the normal pattern is displayed, proceed to C.

    B: Go to step   5 

  3. C: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) 

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  4. RESET POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) (See  INITIALIZATION  ) 

    NG: Go to step 4 

    OK: END 

  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the P12 regulator switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P11 power window motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH TERMINAL RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P12-5 (VCC) - P11-4 (SSRB) Below 1 Ω
      P12-3 (PLS) - P11-5 PLS} Below 1 Ω
      P12-4 (PLS2) - P11-3 (PLS2) Below 1 Ω
      P12-8 (SGND} - P11-6 (E) Below 1 Ω
      P12-5 (VCC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      P12-3 (PLS) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      P12-4 (PLS2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH (PASSENGER SIDE)
