Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Installation

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the oil control valve.

    2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed.
    3. Connect the oil control valve connector.
  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  3. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKS 
    1. Start the engine, and check that there are no oil leaks.
  4. INSTALL ENGINE COVER (see  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
    NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
