Engine Control System (1NZ-FE): ECM: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Disconnect the 4 ECM connectors.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and ECM.
    3. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.
    4. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 ECM bracket.
    5. Remove the 2 screws and No. 3 ECM bracket.
