Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  3. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the 2 clamps of the engine wire.

  4. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the sensor connector.

    2. Remove the sensor and gasket.
