Idle Air Control Valve: Installation

  1. INSTALL IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install a new gasket and the valve with the 3 screws.

      Torque: 3.4 N*m (35 kgf*cm, 30 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the throttle body (see INSPECTION  ).
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
