Throttle Position Sensor: Inspection

  1. INSPECT THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Throttle Valve Position Specified Condition
      1 (VC) - 2 (E2) - 2.5 to 6.0 kΩ
      3 (VTA) - 2 (E2) Fully closed 0.2 to 11.0 kΩ
      3 (VTA) - 2 (E2) Fully open 2.0 to 16.0 kΩ

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the throttle position sensor.
