Power Window Master Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance between each terminal of the connector when the switch is operated.

      Standard resistance: 

      Driver switch 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      If the result is not as specified, replace the master switch assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the master switch terminals and check the AUTO light.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 6 (B)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 3 (E)
      AUTO light illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the master switch assembly.
