2AZ-FE Charging: Generator: Installation

INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.
  Torque: 8.4 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf)

2. Confirm that the wire harness of the crankshaft position sensor is secured to the wire harness clamp bracket through the back of the rib of the timing chain cover.

3. Install the generator with the 2 bolts.
  Torque:
  
  21 N*m (215 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf) for bolt A
  
  52 N*m (530 kgf*cm, 38 ft.*lbf) for bolt B

4. Install the 2 wire harness clamps.
5. Connect the generator wire with the nut.
  Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
6. Install the terminal cap.
7. Connect the generator connector.
INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
1. Install the apron seal with the 3 clips and 2 screws.

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
  NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
