On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON and turn the tester ON.
    3. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Position No. 1 and Accelerator Position No. 2.
    4. While the accelerator pedal is depressed and released, check that the values of accelerator position No. 1 and accelerator position No. 2 are within the specifications.

      Accelerator Position No. 1 Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Condition Specified Condition
      Accelerator pedal released 0.5 to 1.1 V
      Accelerator pedal depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V

      Accelerator Position No. 2 Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Condition Specified Condition
      Accelerator pedal released 1.2 to 2.0 V
      Accelerator pedal depressed 3.4 to 5.0 V

      HINT:

      If the results are not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness and ECM.
