Throttle Body: Removal: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

    1. Remove the 6 bolts, 7 clips and engine under cover.
  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 3
  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  See step  2
  4. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the throttle body.
    2. Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body.

      NOTE:

      If the fuel hose is detached from the clamp shown in the illustration, the clamp cannot be reused.

    4. Remove the bolt and disconnect the fuel hose bracket.
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Clamp
    5. Disconnect the throttle position sensor and control motor connector.
    6. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle with motor body assembly.

    7. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
