Function requirements for ignition OFF, general points 

Ignition OFF, general points 

With the ignition OFF, first the engine and then the engine management are switched off in the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).

Function sequence for ignition OFF 

For ignition OFF the circuit 15 switched off in ignition lock (S2).

If the ME-SFI [ME] control unit receives the signal "circuit 15 OFF" over the FIR fuse and relay module (F2), the engine switched off by switching off the fuel pump with fill level sensor and temperature sensor (T1/3), of the cylinder 1 injection valve (M3/1) to cylinder 3 injection valve (Y62/3) and the cylinder 1 ignition coil (Y62/1) to cylinder 3 ignition coil (T1/3) and the computer run-on is started.

The "circuit 31" ground connection is made from the on-board electrical system battery (G1) over the on-board electrical system battery ground point (W10) and over a number of ground lines to the ground point of the internal combustion engine ground point 2 (W11/16).

When the ignition is OFF, the ME-SFI [ME] control unit is supplied with power from the on-board electrical system battery via "circuit 30 fused".
