Electronic Control Module
The ECM monitors and controls all ECC system functions. The ECM is a digital computer housed in a metal box. The ECM receives electrical signals from various sensors and switches to maintain good driveability and low emissions.
The ECM is located below the steering column in the passenger compartment. A small lamp (oxygen sensor monitor) is provided on the control module to assist in trouble shooting.
