Throttle Body
The throttle body controls the intake air flow in response to accelerator pedal movement. Located between the air flow meter and the intake manifold, the throttle body shaft is connected to throttle switch.
Throttle bodies contain an idle adjustment screw and a fast idle solenoid. The fast idle solenoid opens a by-pass passage during air conditioner operation to maintain engine idle speed. See Fig 1 .
