Spark Control System: Description

Ignition control system is designed to reduce emissions through the whole operating range by controlling ignition timing. System consists of a vacuum advance unit on the distributor, thermo vacuum valve(s), vacuum lines and orifice/check valve (1.6L engine only). The thermo vacuum valve I (1.6L and 1.8L non-turbo) or thermo vacuum valve (turbo) also operates EGR system.
