Ignition System - HITACHI: Overhaul: Reassembly

1. Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly. When installing rotor assembly, match pick-up coil pole piece with notch in rotor. See Fig 1.

2. When installing vacuum controller, tighten only the screw holding the controller to the housing. Tighten screw between lever and pick-up coil base when installing pick-up coil.
3. When installing pick-up coil, adjust air gap to specifications. Align match mark "A" on pinion gear with right side of notch "B" on lower end of housing. See Fig 2. After assembly, check centrifugal advance by using a distributor tester.
