System Testing

With engine running, disconnect hose from PCV valve. Place finger over PCV valve inlet, then lightly open and close the throttle valve. The valve is good if vacuum is felt. If no vacuum is felt, valve is bad. Check oil filler cap to insure that the gasket is not damaged and fits firmly.
