Throttle Body
The throttle body controls the intake airflow in response to accelerator pedal movement. Located between the airflow meter and the intake manifold, the throttle body shaft is connected to throttle switch.
Throttle bodies contain an idle adjustment screw and a fast idle compensating solenoid. During air conditioner operation, the fast idle compensating solenoid opens a by-pass passage to maintain engine idle speed. See Fig 1 .
