Secondary (fresh) air is supplied to the exhaust port of No. 2 and No. 4 cylinder head by an ASV with cut-off valve. The air injection system is controlled by both the thermosensor and time governed by the ECM.
This system operates in the same manner as Federal 2WD models except there is only 1 ASV. See FEDERAL 2WD MODELS . See Fig 1 .
