Fuel INJ System - MPFI: Description
The Multi-Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) system supplies the optimum air-fuel mixture to the engine under all the various operating conditions through use of the latest electronic technology. With this system, constantly pressurized fuel is injected into the intake air passage of the cylinder head.
To control the amount of fuel injected, an intermittent injection system with an electro-magnetic injection valve (fuel injector) opens for short bursts. The amount injected is determined by the duration of an electric pulse applied to the fuel injector and this permits simple, yet highly precise metering of the fuel.
