Throttle Switch
The throttle switch, mounted to the throttle body, works with the throttle shaft. Its idle contact turns on in an idle state and its full contact turns on in a full throttle state. The throttle switch sends signals to the MPFI control unit. The throttle switch has 3 contacts: idle contact, full contact, and moving contact.
The idle contact and full contact are fixed, while the moving contact travels depending on the open angle of the throttle valve. This moving contact is actuated by the groove of the guide cam which is driven by the throttle valve shaft.
When the idle contact is in the "ON" position, the MPFI control unit operates in the "throttle fully closed position". If the full contact is on, the MPFI contol unit operates in the "throttle fully open position". Thus, the full-enrichment mode occurs when full contact is in the "ON" position.
