Fuel INJ - MPFI System: Description
The Multi-Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) system supplies optimum air/fuel mixture to the engine under various operating conditions through use of latest electronic technology. With this system, constantly pressurized fuel is injected into intake air passage of the cylinder head.
To control amount of fuel injected, an intermittent injection system, with an electro-magnetic injection valve (fuel injector), opens for short bursts. The amount of fuel injected is determined by duration of an electric pulse applied to the fuel injector. This permits simple, yet highly precise metering of fuel. See Fig 1 .
