Pressure Regulator
The pressure regulator is divided into fuel chamber and spring chamber by a diaphragm. Fuel is fed to fuel chamber through fuel inlet connected with the injector. A difference in pressure between fuel chamber and spring chamber connected with the intake manifold causes the diaphragm to be pushed down, and fuel is returned to fuel tank through the return line.
By returning fuel so as to balance pressure difference and spring force, fuel pressure is kept a constant level of 36.3 psi.
