Throttle Opening Signal

Measure resistance between terminals No. 2 and No. 3 on XT models (No. 1 and No. 2 on Wagon, Coupe and Sedan models). See Figure and Fig 1 . Resistance should be 6000-18,000 ohms. If resistance is not within specifications, replace sensor. Measure resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Resistance should be 5800-17,800 ohms with throttle closed and 15,000-51,000 ohms with throttle open. Ensure that resistance changes smoothly between fully closed and fully opened throttle positions. If resistance is out of specifications, replace sensor.
