Code 41: Air/Fuel Ratio Control System

Code 41 indicates that the mixture is too lean. When no other code is present, all system components are electrically in good working order. Check the following:

• Check injector nozzles for clogging.
• Check fuel pressure.
• Check performance characteristics of coolant temperature sensor.

If the above steps check out okay, perform the next steps.

1. Replace airflow meter and drive vehicle. If mixture is still too lean or Code 41 is still present, go to the next step.
2. Replace the fuel injectors and drive vehicle. If mixture is still too lean or Code 41 still exists, replace ECU.
