Manual Transmission
- If voltage does not exist in any of the following circuit tests, check wiring for opens or shorts, or replace faulty component.
- Turn ignition switch to START position. Check for near battery voltage at ignition switch "S" terminal (Black/Yellow wire). If voltage exists, check for near battery voltage at both Black/Yellow wire terminals of starter interlock relay.
- Interlock relay has a Blue, 4-terminal connector and is located below EFC/MPFI control unit and to far left of unit. EFC/MPFI control unit is located behind drivers left dash panel.
- Clutch switch, located at top of clutch pedal arm, grounds interlock relays Black/Blue wire, energizing interlock relay. Press and hold clutch pedal to floor and check interlock relay's Black/White wire terminal for near battery voltage.
- If voltage exists, check for near battery voltage at starter solenoid "S" terminal (Black/White wire). If voltage exists at starter solenoid, start circuit is good. Problem is with starter.
